“Salam” is a feature length documentary about the Nobel prize winning Pakistani physicist, Abdus Salam. The film reveals the extraordinary life of the charismatic Abdus Salam, in all its color, vitality and tragedy. It is the story of a man who traversed two worlds with ease: one of science and religion, modernity and tradition, war and peace and obscurity and celebrity. The music is inspired by the folk and classical music of pakistan as well as the western aspects of salamis life in Europe. As Salam’s work resulted in the Higgs Boson discovery, I worked with a tone row which was translated from the Higgs Boson data. It features phenomenal musicians Steve Gorn-Flutes, Jake Charkey-cello, and Emmanuel Vukovich-violin.
