"We have hosted many artists during the past several years for our
school assemblies. Your group was among the most popular to date.
The messages that you sent in combination with the music were very
appropriate for young adolescents."

"I heartily recommend the West African ensemble
Mamma Tongue as an outstanding performance and cultural group for
elementary, middle and high school audiences. Mamma Tongue performed
at the skowhegan area high shool in a three day african arts festival
providing a total of nine performances--all of which were high energy,
riveting, educational Entertainment... Mamma Tongue provides a wonderful
immersion in African music, teaching us richly interwoven rhythms,
words , movements, a wonderful window into a complex and captivating
